Sustainability
A Sustainable, Nature-Led Retreat Venue
Secret Valley is a family-run working farm where sustainability is part of how we operate day-to-day, not a bolt-on.
Built on a working farm
Unlike many venues, Secret Valley isn't simply set in nature. It's an active, family-run farm that has been managed over generations.
Our approach focuses on maintaining the land, supporting biodiversity and creating a setting that works in balance with the environment while hosting corporate retreats and group stays.
How we approach sustainability
Land management & tree planting
Our Christmas tree farm has been established since the early 1990s. For every tree harvested, multiple new trees are planted, ensuring continuous regeneration of the landscape.
Local sourcing & on-site produce
Where possible, we work with local suppliers and producers to reduce food miles and support the surrounding community.
Low-impact accommodation
Glamping-style accommodation integrated into the landscape, reducing the need for high-impact infrastructure.
Biodiversity & soil health
Ongoing planting cycles support biodiversity, maintain soil health and preserve the natural character of the site.
Connection with nature
Bringing teams into a natural environment encourages a deeper appreciation of the environment and a more mindful way of working.
One-site, low-footprint events
By hosting accommodation, activities and event space in one location, we help reduce the overall footprint of corporate events.
Low-impact accommodation & events

Supporting corporate sustainability goals
We understand that many organisations are placing increasing importance on sustainability within their event planning and supplier selection.
Secret Valley provides a setting that aligns with these goals, offering a lower-impact alternative to traditional venues while maintaining a high-quality experience for teams.
