Farm life
The Farm Life itinerary is a perfect day out for schoolchildren. Cobbs Cross Farm is particularly interesting to visit because of its unusual diversification. Learn about organic farming methods as well as hearing the story of how Farmer John has researched new species and opportunities to make the most of this productive land in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
You're welcome to bring your own picnic. See our catering for groups information. There is also the option of a group barbecue at the end of day, watching the sun set over the Bristol Channel from the farm's highest point.
Farm tour
Explore the whole farm by tractor and trailer. Led by Farmer John or his son Rob, the farm tour passes the reindeer, carries on up through the Christmas Tree plantation, the organic free range chickens and up to the top of the farm which gives stunning views of the farm, surrounding areas and across the Bristol Channel to Wales.
Lessons on the land
Hands on learning is always more interesting than in a classroom environment. Your senses are alive with the sights, smells and sounds of the farm around you. We supply study sheets to test yourselves and learn a thing or two, or teachers can bring material from their own curriculum.
